In your role as a Receptionist, at The North West Company (NWC), you are the first point of contact for Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre (WLSC) who provides guests with professional and friendly service. You will also answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate extension or department. If you are an expert on streamlining office operations this opportunity is for you!

Your Role:

  • Answer incoming calls, direct callers to the appropriate extension or department professionally and efficiently;
  • Monitor lobby and front entrance to ensure the area is clean and organized;
  • Greet visitors and notify appropriate employee of their arrival;
  • Oversee bookings for meeting rooms and presentation equipment;
  • Assist with morale and team building initiatives;
  • Maintain and administer office supplies;
  • Maintain WLSC contact list;
  • Assist the Corporate HR team with administrative tasks; and
  • Process Giant Tiger West credits/debits.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years general office experience is required;
  • Previous reception experience in is an asset;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products is necessary;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and listen effectively to provide a high customer service level; and
  • Must have strong customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
