In your role as a Purchasing Clerk at The North West Company (NWC); you will be working remotely (afternoons/evenings/weekends – varied hours based on priorities with some potential for on-site work) to verify the accuracy of all new purchase orders and process them with speed and efficiency. Your Role:

  • Create Purchase Orders as requested by Category Teams, and Replenishment Analysts;
  • Create Purchase Orders as directed by Special Ship (Sealift, Winter Road);
  • Revise and updates Purchase Orders with deletions, additions, and changes as requested by Category Teams and Replenishment Analysts;
  • Fulfill Key requisitions as requested by Category Teams and Replenishment Analysts;
  • Address Store Connect Tickets as assigned;
  • Complete Order Management Reporting as requested; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • General office experience required;
  • Strong alpha-numeric keyboarding skills are required;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel required;
  • Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills with the ability to adhere to strict timelines;
  • Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy;
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Knowledge of Retek and Access an asset.
