Job Description

In your role as Income Tax Office Clerk, at The North West Company (NWC), you will assist the Income Tax Team by assigning returns in a timely fashion, reviewing documentation and answering store inquiries.

Your Role:

  • Assign tax returns to preparers;
  • Assist with CRA Pre-Assessment review requests;
  • Assist with CRA Matching Program requests;
  • Assist with CRA T1013 requests;
  • Conduct CRA 3-way conference calls with the tax client;
  • Answer store email inquiries;
  • Receive, sort, and process faxes and emails received from stores;
  • Assist in the reconciliation of stores tax accounts.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Basic income tax knowledge;
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Status:         Full Time and Part Time Opportunities Available

Reports to:  Manager, Administration & Customer Service
